Ditto. But I also voted for Scholefield, which leaves me a bit miffed!

There is going to be a full report later, so hopefuly we will get a picture of how the votes went.

I would bet a Wagon Wheel, that all the Veritas people that left will have voted for them, so that's a good couple of hundred votes at least.

Does anybody know if the winners were leadership loyalists, or are they likely to shake things up a bit?

Gerrard Battern was actually very sympathetic to RKS complaints, but was not impressed with the action that he took. The others are in the main unknown quantities, but from their addresses, I am very hopeful or positve fresh new input.

Well done to Linda Guest, though. That is an impressive result.

I agree with well done Linda Guest, She really has got what it takes to go right to the top. To get a genuinly nice person who is also very bright on the NEC really is good news.

It's a fair justification. Unless you feel comfortable voting for people, then abstaining is a valid option.

Personaly I read what each candidate had to say 1st, then I looked at past record, finaly checking who nominated.

I had a tough job selecting my final two candiates, as their was a massive choice.

Overall I am happy, though I personaly, would have like one particular candidate in aswell. Can't always get what you want 100% though!

I agree, but would wish to point out the boring practicalities;

27,000 members x 21p = GBP 5670.00

Plus Freepost replies assuming 50% turnout = GBP 8505.00

Plus the 2000 quid or so for envelopes, packing, printing etc takes the total over 10 grand.

I'm afraid that as always, there are simply better uses for the cash. No paid replies and posting with the newsletter saves certainly over 6 grand.

Rgds

Money always gets in the way of everything!

:evil:

I wish everyone was on the internet, then we could all have secure members accounts, vote with confidence (as much as you ever will anyway!), and save a bundle.
