Default European debate takes a nosedive

http://www.spiked-online.com/Printable/0000000CA908.htm

Quote:
It is tragic to note that the best thing to happen in European politics for years was the election of 11 Hooray Henry UKIP politicians to the European parliament. Far-right MEPs saying that Britain should get out of the EU (2), or that women should stay in the kitchen (3), has been the only thing recently that has come close to getting people to think and worry about political issues.

We shouldn't have to wait for fringe parties to be voted in to start talking about what we believe, and it shouldn't only be the deliberately provocative MEPs who are brave enough to spark a response.
Spiked is fully against UKIP, but they have been paying UKIP a lot of attention latley and what they have posted today is a back handed complement in a way. They are admiting that UKIP is the only party to be drawing the publics attention to the EU and that is true! Yes they try to portray us in the worst possible light, but the fact remains, UKIP are the only party getting the debates going!

I will trudge the whole internet, including it's gutters for information on UKIP. Hopefuly, when the election is called, I won't have to do this any more!

I probably will though!

Spiked seems to like having a go at UKIP for being British as far as I can see. All of the abuse they aim at us could be aimed at the British people as a whole.
