The UK loses out again from so-called “benefits” of the E.U.

Quote:
Graham Booth is one of the 2 UKIP MEPs for the Southwest Region and sits on the Committee on Regional Development in Brussels. This committee is responsible for disbursing the largesse of the E.U. to the huge number of regions governed from Brussels, and for which the taxpayer pays, of course.
At this week’s meeting, the Committee was discussing the budget for the period 2007-2013, when a total of £235 billion is due to be dispensed, and Graham Booth asked the Chairman the following question:
“If one of the major contributors, like Britain, should decide to leave the E.U. and thus stop it’s drip feed of over £ 1 million per hour INTO phpbb_the E.U.'s coffers, is there a Plan “B” ?”
The Chairman was unable to reply to this question, but spluttered that it was to be hoped that such a dreadful event would not occur.
Mr Booth feels that the possibility should be considered that one or more of the bigger contributors were quite likely to withdraw following the various referenda to be held in the next 12 months, and the Committee should carefully consider the effect this would have on the Cohesion Fund

Good work Graham Booth, more of this please!
