It's a real problem for UKIP. The leaders of the party all present like Tories and they only trust types who are like them. Who is going to vote for that?
Actually having said that I think Roger is the key because even though he is essentially a Tory his rather laid back style and dry humour is more appealing than any of the others - if only he can stop talking about Kilroy he could be a plus for UKIP. Godfrey is good knock-about fun but it makes it difficult for the candidates if they have to distance themselves from his comments
It's all down to the candidates, so get your soapboxes out and get a team around you and get INTO phpbb_the town centres now and let the people meet you and see that UKIP people are really quite a decent bunch. Talk to them about the need to restore and strengthen democracy, UKIPs plans for the popular initiative and the popular veto, personal responsibility, identity cards, the liars and cheats in New Labour led by the great Liar himself - you know the stuff!

Amen to that!

We can make a huge difference at local level. Let's do it!

All the while UKIP keep that man in their party the more supporters vertias will get.

Every time he is on TV the party will lose.

Simple really .

I happy for UKIP to consider him for a main role.

He could be say "protector of women against leacherous men" or " private party organiser" he seems good at that.

I think somebody should quietly take Bloom to one side ... and leave him there.

I was there when Bloom did an interview with Radio Wales and I was very impressed. He clearly won his argument, as he does all the time because what he is saying is right.

He does get very passionate about things, which is a novelty these days in politics because most people are there just because they want to be a politician.

And he hasn't gotten one of his employees pregnant. She is pregnant and working for him, but nothing else.

Are you sure about that, thats not how it come across in T.V. unless I totally misread it!

Passion is one thing, getting snappy and angry is another. That is the bracket he fell INTO phpbb_on Sky the other night. The presenter was almost incredulous towards his reaction.

The other guys was a sniverling little creep, but Bloom has to keep his cool!

No, I was talking to him about it earlier. She is pregnant but can stay employed because it's not a physical job but requires her brain.

I didn't see it from over here in sproutland, but I do agree that getting cross isn't the best way of dealing with things. It's far too 'Bob Silk' for words....

good idea Tom.

However, Blooms original gaf, "employers would think twice about employing a woman of child beaing age" brought him plenty of support from frminists because they know that no matter what legislation is in place that is what the average employer is going to think.

He was trying to make the point that Eu legislation actually made it difficult for women of a certain age to gain employment.

its just the t**t seems incapable of making that simple point.

They ran a couple of articles in the Sunday Times about it, and he got an enormous amount of support from people in small businesses and women, surprisingly enough.

They had a poll and he won hands down.
