As with all parties they see the leadership only and base everyone wiyhin a given party around that leadership, never the people that do all the donkey work unfortunately.

No, it's just that these people are Tories. Bruce Anderson is a Tory. Tories don't understand people with principles and they resent things they cannot understand.

The man can't make his mind up.
his initial paragraph says British politics is a stagnant pool, the next hes saying everyone's heading for the anti-eu vote, and promptly calls everyone an anorak for doing so.

Would someone with alphabet soup after their name please write to the Times with a pithy one-liner?
