Default I have decided to leave

Ladies and Gents, I have decided to leave UKIP, there are many valid reasons for this but the straw that broke the camels back, was the latest PPC guidance (received yesterday), quite frankly I was astounded with the following passage:

"However, we do not expect to form the next govrnment and it would be wrong to go INTO phpbb_too much detail even in a full manifesto".

This I cannot believe, the tories do not expect to win, but produce a fully detailed manifesto, why because if you are to be taken seriously you need detailed policies.

"It is far more important to show voters what type of people we are"

What should we do, Invite our voters for a cup of tea, perhaps even a bar-b-q.

After reading many contributors to this forum, thers is not one who isn't more worthy of a seat in the House than the current crop of meal ticket MPs and I wish you all luck if standing at the GE.

I don't leave UKIP gloating, I leave with sadness for the hard working party members, also contempt for the leadership.

I doubt I will post here again, but reserve the right to counter any critcism aimed at me personally, say what you like about UKIP/Veritas, it bothers me not, as has been mentioned before there are bigger fish to fry.

As for me, I'm just a teller at the bank of laughs, with a smile and a joke for every honest Englishman ( always leave with a smile).

Cheers all, it's been emotional.

Dave

The manifesto thing does seem strange, as if the UKIP leadership have lost heart.

My party is tiny in comparison, but we always produe a full manifesto, with a costed budget and detailed plans.

I can't find the posting of mine to pluck a quote from, but having swapped PMs with Dave, especially as I now know him to be a fellow Darlingtonian, I accept that in the past he has shown more commitment to the party than most and wish him well in his new political home.

Just one thing Dave, I have instructed my solicitors:- Stoop, Crouch & Whittle to issue a writ should Veritas steal our party slogan:-

BRITAIN BUILDS A BETTER BISCUIT!!

You haven't see our manifesto, it hasn't been released yet!

One thing I can tell people after Petrinas overview last night, is it is nothing like the document that was bandied about as the draft.

There are some VERY powerful messages and policies in it.

My role is a lowly pleb, but hopefuly soon to be a PPC for Woking. If not I will find somewhere else!

I was lucky in that Petrina Holdsworth revealed some of the official manifesto, last night to a branch meeting for the first time.

The PPC briefing was only for now, our manifesto is almost complete and we are waiting for the official announcement of the election. Labour could still be pulling as fast one and leaving it for next year!

Judge the manifesto when it comes out, afterall we have no idea what the other parties manifestos are going to be yet! Not even Veritas!
