Anthony Butcher elsewhere on this Forum proposes changes that will require UKIP`s Constitution to be amended. For that to happen 20 Branches will need to write to the Party Secretary.
Will yours be one of them? |

I think that for it to happen, it would really require the leadership to take up the suggestions and call for branches themselves. If we try to force this from the branches upwards, it will never work.

I've ticked yes but as i run a democratic branch would have to ask my committee members but I think they would agree, (provided we go for the biscuit logo - perhaps a Nice biscuit as that is one of the treaties we want shot of).
They keep telling us we're a bottom up party so why should they not look at something that might break the impasse and reinvigorate members?

I don`t see that we`re forcing anything on anyone, merely asserting our democratic right to exercise a vote for change. |

I voted yes as well. My Committee are fed up with all the in-fighting and lack of true leadership. I just hope that RK will take the suggestions on board for what they are, a way forward and not merely criticism.

I am going to rewrite the introduction. I have been thinking on it some more, and what we have is an opportunity. The press want rivalry between RKS and UKIP, so they will give us some attention if we are seen to take action. We should be doing exactly what RKS is doing and milking this for every bit of coverage that we can.

I had to tick don't know, as like others I would have to get backing from the whole committee. I will certainly put it to them at the next meeting.

I would be very uncomfortable about pushing the issue INTO phpbb_the national press just to get my way. If I can't win the argument through reasoning, then perhaps the argument isn't that strong in the first place. The document is there to stimulate ideas for helping the party. I hope that at least some of it will filter through. |
