I have been speaking to a UKIP "friend" tonight and I am horrified by the following events.
This friend has recently had his 17 YO daughter live with him because she has been beaten by her mother. The police were invloved and a warning has been given because of the common assault that took place. (No direct witnesses to the assault and the daughter just wanted it recording) Now the father is a North West branch press officer and the mother knowing her Ex partner did "work" for UKIP phoned them up to what it looks like cause trouble. What happened next is that UKIP disclosed they were in the process of getting rid of this press officer and that it was because of the "Alleged" unconsented letter writings when all said an done the letter writings were sent to the press with branch consent. Now the mother turned up at the daughter college today telling her daughter and friends who were close by that her dad had been sacked for this reason. Now what begs the question is why are UKIP regional releasing information and data, to potentially anyone, which should be protected under the data protection act ? This woman admitted that she got this information from UKIP regional . Let alone the potential danger the regional office have put that branch officers child in considering she could have been harmed. Whats more this branch are holding a vote for an EGM so it is understandable they would want to put pressure on the RKS supporters. Its absolutely disgraceful.

Simple answer. Substantiate, then take the employers to tribunal. Anyway he has right of appeal first prior to tribunal and he must follow due process.
I would hazard a guess that if 'UKIP' employed him then he'll be on a winner as if his T&C of employment and their written procedures are as amateur as everything else they do then a decent brief would run rings through and round them. Thinking of which - have you read about the guy sacked by waterstones for writing about them in a derogatory fashion on his blog? |

As a Branch "Officer" he isn’t official employed by them the Irony being it is voluntary.
He did work for an MEP for a short while (about a month) but stopped because of other work commitments that paid far more money. The point here is that the Regional offices appeared to have released private information endangering a childs well being for the sake of political gain. The lady in question couldnt have possibly got the information from anywhere else. IT was that specific about "certain" conversations that had preceeded betweeen officer and regional office representatives.

Unfortunately we are back to that old human nature thing. If a UKIP dept did as you say exactly, then that is poor form. More than likely though it is down to one individual who has made a bad judegment call. I would hope the press officer in question would complain to the NEC, to at least give them the chance to right any wrongs that have been done!

The lady in question said she had "spoken to UKIP" and enquries are onging to find out the source....it wont take us long.
A particular letter was reffered to which was the subject of a dispute between regional organiser and that press officer.
