Hmm, when you talk of "cut down" you're still thinking "paper". Think "web page". For example, how about borrowing the typical blog trick of a headline and a short paragraph outlining the item, with a "read more" link that expands that part of the page, showing the full blurb.

I agree totally with MKPD on this, the tories love the gravy train.

Check your local councils and see how many tories are still on the unelected regional assemblies, this after M Howerd declared that they would pull them out - say one thing, do another.

We at UKIP should have more than policy, we should have a realistic vision of Great Britain post eu withdrawal that we should be sharing with the electorate, what do we need - coherent policies/manifesto and visonaries to lead us, still waiting on both counts.

I can assure you that I am not. 8)

As you say, it should be headlines, with an option to read more, and links through to the full version, perhaps with additional commentary, facts, explanation and sourcing.
