I find the 'vote of no confidence' issue a little odd. Normally (surely?) a vote of no confidence requires the chair to stand down and an immediate election to take place. Until such an election a chairman pro-tem should be voted in, in order that branch business can continue.

My point basically is that the chair is an elected official, elected by a mandate from the branch (or society, or club, or whatever) and that mandate can be withdrawn through the vote of no-confidence. There should be no need for area to be involved.....

......Unless the organisation is UKIP, and unless the vote of no-confidence was to do with the majority of members being pro-RKS, and the chair is refusing to budge, supported by area.

Just guessing mind...........!

Sending the regional organiser to a known branch EGM seems to be the pattern.

Cole is a joke. Don't even waste your time looking at his site. He is a man consumed by hatred because the party rejected him. It is quite obvious he has no good will for UKIP or the members.

I think the problems with UKIP is that the "Rules & Regulations" haven't been thought out properly. I remember when I organised a large club in London many moons ago, we got a good solicitor in to help us draw up our constitution and rules. It was costly but everything was straight forward and we never had any problems whatsoever.

Martin Cole is not the issue here, who cares if he is a disgruntled ex member. The real issue is what is on his blog site. Time and time again I read on this site the information on his site is slagging of Ukip. Now the difference between me and some others on this site is that I do not believe every thing he writes about, I can apply common sense and filter out what I believe can referenced and disregard the rest. I have been on his site today and the first three blogs are, UKIP last in Hull re-run, Fact, Lawrie Boxall calls for Leadership Change, can be referenced (contact Lawrie Boxall) and Hockney Letter to Knapman - Summary Can be referenced (contact Roger Knapeman) the latter two were both posted on this site first. I think the problem is not Martin Cole or the site its just that some member’s of Ukip can not stand the truth these are the same people that believe in Santa Claus. Why don’t they wake up and smell the coffee, all party’s have internal strife “that’s the nature of the beast” ignoring the problem or shooting the messenger does not solve anything and like papering over the cracks eventually they resurface wider and deeper. So stop looking through your peep hole of ignorance face there are problems resolve them and move on.
