Default Downham Market Division By-Election Result

Result of by-election December 17th for Downham Market Division.

Conservative 1301 68.29%
Labour 223 11.71%
UKIP (Michael Stone) 191 10.03%
Lib-Dem 190 9.97%

Turnout 21.3%

Again the Lib Dems beaten INTO phpbb_fourth. We were not far off Labour in this one!

Considering the UKIP branch is fairly new, another great result.

I am still upset that people still stick to their red and blue though!

Nonetheless, if this level of achievement was reflected at the General Election it would amount to a political earthquake!

To be the 3rd party in Britain, that would be a leap alright. A place on Question Time every week, and we wouldn't be in the "others" when it came to polls.

The question is, what has caused the Lib Dem vote to collapse in such a drastic way? It looks like people have not only forgotten about Iraq, but have rumbled the Lib Dems two faced tactics.

Labour are sinking, the Tories are flatlined, UKIP rising!

Amazing stuff!
