Not a problem with me. I am happy to see another section of society is getting behind our cause!

Hmm, I'm not so sure that EU withdrawal can really be counted a religious mission...

Just because there is a portion of people that are Christians supporting us, doesn't mean we all are Christians. The party has no religious dimension to it, so no-one can accuse us of that.

BTW it is a little harsh to couple religion with being a nutjob. It is everyones right to believe in whatever they want! I would be happy for any group to support our cause, except anti-social ones such as racists or other anti-social groups.

Christians in UKIP are clearly not a seperate party. It is fairly typical for large groups to have sub-groups - in my last employment we had a Christian fellowship, a couple of football teams, a motor club and so on.

For political parties having sub-groups or affiliations is certainly nothing unusual!

I don't think this warrants grounds for all of UKIP to be seen as 'religious nuts'. At least their beliefs are clear, morally correct and, as a rule in my experience, they live their lives to these standards ('Walk the talk').

Could we say that about all of us or, certainly, most politicians?

As for the "I'm not so sure that EU withdrawal can really be counted a religious mission... " it really depends on how they have interpreted the Book of Revelation!

(sorry to repeat MKP - we simultaneously posted!)

yeah - I know I wasn't being deadly serious calling them all nut-jobs!

but then I quote
The purpose of this site is to provide a place where Christians within the party have a focal point where we can encourage one another in the fight against the evil that is the EU.

It does sound like a bit of a cult!

Currently it appears to be a cult of 1.

Religion and politics throughout history have been a bad mix! In my opinion they both have their place but not toegether! :?
