Surely Matt, these vitriolic attacks should be in the War Zone, don't make me censor you, I mean if I said that RK was still a useless TIT, is isn't fit to lick my boots, you would snip away and tell me to go to the War Zone.
We have had to abandon the policy to some extent over the last day or two - there are too many issues and too many people to confine it to one thread. The Veritas issue needs to be debated as openly as possible, so that we can get it all out of the way now.

Normal service will resume in the War Zone soon.

Was that last one aimed at me or Nigel or both of us.

Also you seem to have lost your sense of humour, I didn't think RKS did insult the membership, well not the party activist I'm sure he said something nice about us, backbone of the party or something, remember also that T.V will edit how it sees fit.

In all honesty Matt, and don't bite my head off, I think you've seen something that wasn't there, since I've been on this forum we have debated, argued sniped and insulted (in a nice way) laughed, joked and cried, gone round in circles and back again, and personally I think a party would be pleased to have someone who has shown the political nouse that you have, but you have always respected others views on all subjects don't lose that now, but there are fundemental flaws within UKIP don't be blind to them, Thatcher was, Major was and Blair is, rumours are already circulating for calls to him to step aside and give Brown the leadership, this would be good as it would delay the GE, it would be bad because people might believe he is doing agood job.

You still support RKS after his attacks, so I don't care about your opinions on the leadership, internal issues or anything else.

You are worse than a Tory, as at least they have their guns pointed mainly at Labour. You have UKIP as your sole target, just like your pretend leader RKS.

I put it on record here that I have no time for you anymore. So no I am not impartial in your respect.
These forums only work if the moderators are at least reasonably impartial, so there's no point continuing if there isn't a level playing field. I was going to continue here until Veritas was launched, but I'll stop now.

I wish all of UKIP's members and candidates the very best. If Veritas stands against you I hope you can work something out between you!

Let's do everything we can to ensure that the anti-EU movement has a voice in the next parliament.

See you on the hustings!

Dave,

I will have to disagree with you on seeing something that isn't there. I have given my reasons why.

I am happy to try and moderate this site, but even I have limits. I have full respect for you Dave, as you have made it clear what you issues are and I am not going to argue with you on them, as I think you have a good case.

What I can't do is sit by and watch people who have already said they are going, rip INTO phpbb_the party. You know my feelings on RKS now and I just can't be impartial where he is concerned.

If that means Anthony wants me to step down as moderator, then so be it.

I am convinced UKIP are the only anti-EU ticket in town. I agree the ticket is not perfect, but what is? We can work on that over the following years.

The forum is out of control at the moment and I take some responsability for that. If Anthony wants me to stay on then I will try and bring some order back in the following days. I will be accused of censorship of course, but thats is the price I have to pay. I thought the warzone was doing a job, but with big news like this, it will always spill over.

I agree 100%. Garage and co are a disgrace to this forum. They spread lies about members (including myself) and constantly attack the only party that can stop the rot. You can only question their motives. RKS and his party will try to split the anti-EU vote. Who will win? Not those who want to see our country free. The BNP are already laughing about this.
Those of you who saw RKS on Channel Four will note how vain, arrogant and rude he was. I have asked members about it. Not one thought he came across well.

I don't have a problem with moderators having strong opinions, as long as they don't misuse their position to censor the opposition. Voicing a strong opinion is not the same as censoring others.

If Matt is having such a strong reaction, then people should take note. He won't be the only one. I reacted with dismay rather than anger, but I can understand that he feels entirely betrayed.
