Just posting this to keep the subject at the top of the list!

I do hope the subject isn't being swept under the carpet, after all the wonderful promises of chains of shops throughout the country....

I have one of those dressing gowns and I can tell y'all they are good value for money.
Best dressing gown I ever had.
And no - it hasn't got UKIP or any pound signs on it.

Nigel, me old mucker, if Veritas gets off the runway and RKS happens to decide that it would be a good idea to have a shop selling Veritas goodies, do you think for a moment that he will bother to consult anyone at all before setting it up? If he doesn't, will you bombard his office with emails complaining about the lack of accountability?

Just checking that you are pouring the same sauce over the goose and the gander.

I thought it was a rhetorical question! Yes of course I would make a fuss if Kilroy did the same, but only if it was the latest in a long line of mistakes, cockups, and half-baked schemes designed to keep a donor happy.

Now, what about my questions?

That seems like a very heavily qualified "yes". Shall I take it as a "no"?
Surely you would want to jump on even the first 'mistake' as soon as it was made, to ensure Kilroy upheld a suitable standard from the very beginning? (Now, that really IS a rhetorical question!)

I've no idea. But I'd advise those who do know the answers against giving them to you. After all, you are now a supporter of an embryonic rival party whose presumed leader-in-waiting just launched a ferocious attack on UKIP. Why should you expect UKIP officials to provide you with details of any aspect of the party's management or financial decision-making? Do you think we're crazy? (That's a rhetorical question too, by the way! )

No, not at all. All sorts of stupid things happen in politics, you've just got to go along with most of them. Believe me, I kept my mouth shut over a lot of things before I had enough!

I'm still a member of UKIP and Veritas isn't offical yet, so I'm a bit in limbo right now. RKS launched an attack on UKIP's leaders, but not on the party itself (admittedly he should have made that clearer).

That's not what I'm asking for.

Not at all

Here is what he said:

"But I have to say that the Party is regarded by those outside it as a joke. I am ashamed to be a member. I cannot ask people to vote for it because it has no policies, no spokespersons, no energy, no vision, no idea of how Britain should be governed.

"Instead I shall advise people not to vote for the Party. To do otherwise will be to be dishonest, to pretend that the party has a purpose - when in fact it is a charade, an empty vessel".

That is an attack on the entire party and everything that we stand for.
