Just got this back about 3 nanoseconds after sending it!

Dear Mr Davies

Many thanks for the email, which, as you can see, has been forwarded to all concerned.

Michael will no doubt be in touch with a date for the selection meeting.

Kind regards
Jim Carver

He copied Steve Harris too, I get the impression some people are going to be pleased that I am running against Harvey, I had to hound them to find out if I had been put forward before!

This could get interesting! I just want the Woking branch to be represented as they wish!

The general election is getting closer, and we do need to get our PPCs set up asap, so it is good to see that some of the remaining constituencues are being dealt with quickly.

Just be careful you are not being used MKPD, you seem to be a true enthusiast, and being used to dispose of someone is very demoralizing (it happened to me some years ago with the tories), I for one one would not want to lose your enthusiasm for cause.

Regards
Dave

Thanks for the warning Dave, I do realise that that human nature of self-interest can get in the way far too often. I am fully aware of how causes and people can get hijacked, and it must be horrible when it happens to a person.

I will only ever be driven by my determination to keep this country independent, free and democratic. I'm here for the long haul!

I spoke to Michael Harvey last night, and he tells me there are moves to unseat him as branch chairman because of his support for a leadership election. So it looks as if MKPDavies is being used.

However, I'm sure MKPD has only the best interests of the party at heart, and I know Michael has. In fact he told me that he would be happy to abide by the decision of his members. If only there were more of us like that!

I have no animosity towards Michael. I recognise that he has done a lot of hard work for the party, and I admire him for that. I was not aware of any moves to unseat him at all, but at the social meeting I realised that I should stand in my home town, and give the people a choice. If Michael wins, I will shake him by the hand and work just as hard as I will if I win.

It's all about what is best for UKIP at the end of the day, and we can all pull together at the end of the day!

Ideally every selection meeting will have at least three candidates, to provide a genuine choice for the branch.

Some only have 1, and others struggle to get that. Others get 7, the world is unfair!

I just hope people who don't get the primary choice, put there name forward for other places. I certainly am going to keep trying until I get one or run out of time!
