i dont know who Kate Ironside is, but she clearly, in my opinion, has very little idea of what she is talking about.

Who does the writer think they are kidding?

Feigning support for a leader of a party they profoundly disagree with because a potential leader with popularist support is a real possibilty.

A little bit harsh I think gents. I'm not normally the one to come out on the pro-Knapman case but:-

This is a genuine article. Therefore the contents are the views of one individual based on what she has observed. To doubt that the current leadership battle is not damaging to the party and its support is naive. In such a context the phrase
Quote:
It’s tragic, really. Robert Kilroy-Silk could have been one of the UKIP’s most formidable campaign weapons.
is entirely correct. You and I believe we know the truth as to why this has not happened, but to those outside the party (and a great many inside) RKS has been a wasted opportunity.

Don't also forget this article is from the RK homeland. By stating Kate Ironside has very little idea of what she is talking about does not solve the issue. I suspect that in her position, in her location, with her limited knowledge of 'the truth' - I would have written similar.

Therein lies the danger. Lets hope we get this all over with soon.

I rest my case. What self delusion.
