My summary:-

Vince Cable - less than average, predicatble, didn't make any really good points. Far too much sympathy for Blunkett.
Ruth Kelly - stuck to the party line with little evidence of independant thought. The audience sensed this. Labour toady - she'll go far!
Robert Kilroy Silk - Good at the beginning, lost some of the audience during for interupting, lost a lot at the end when trying to defend the 'Limb amputators' statements. RKS needs to avoid this issue like the plague, if tonights performance has not damaged him. I wonder if any complaints have been made against him tonight?
Shailesh Vara - Balanced, intelligent, humourous at times. Watch this guys career, I was impressed. Shame about his party allegiance!
As a member of the audience on this show, I must put the record stright, to say thay KRS lost some of the audience late in the show is totally wrong, he never flinched, he answered all the questions put to him, clearly and concisely, and would not be detered by the idiots shouting at him, and his statement that it was just an attempt to stiffel free speach was just how it came over.

As for Vince Cable, and Ruth Kelly, true to form they both tried to defend the indefenceable, moire to their shame, unfortunately people will have forgotten this by the time of the election.

Radio 4's Any Questions:

Kilroy gave a stupendous performance. If Hughie Green's clapometer had been in use he would definately be back the following week.

However, how dissapointing that on the following day's Any Answers a certain Graham Booth (who in tongue twisting style said he was " a U.K.I.P.M.E.P.") took the trouble not to comend the performance of Kilroy but to air his grievances about Kilroy's ambitions.

Not one word of praise about Kilroy's performance. That says it all.

I don't recall hearing RKS praising anyone either. That says a little more ...

Don't be silly, Kilroy was responding to questions put to him ; G Booth MEP went out of his way to try and undermine Kilroy. He (Booth) made no attempt to put UKIP's views on the issues discussed. Just another wasted media opportunity.

As a £60,000 a year MEP he should be driving home what UKIP is all about. Instead he took the trouble to ring a nationally broadcast show to spout off personal comments about an individual who had just given a performance that could ONLY encourage more people to get behind the party.

Quite pathetic really.

That's slightly better Intbel, but still not quite hitting the target!

I told you that I asked someone to do it on my behalf. She called last week and asked about the accounts and was told that they couldn't give any information out. She was advised to look at the South East regional accounts.

RE Radio 4 any questions

I too was in the audience that day an little was it know that the person number 3 who had been selected to ask their question about "Does a perma tanned man make for a good party leader" or something of that ilke was suddenly missing from the front bench after being called down.

What happened next was quit remarkable.

The producer asked the audience and I quote "Where is Mr Simon Crawley"

No answer

Okay who would like their voice heard on radio and ask a Question of the Panel

I put my hand up

"yes you" pointing to me.

"Will I be able to ask my Question" I said YES came the reply.

Then I was placed in the third spot for asking a question.

My question

Do the panel believe we have reached a point at which the liberalisation of britain is causing the youth of today to be confused with mixed messages.

This was in light of the boys tradgic death through bullying in school and about the liberalisation of britain and mixed messages sent to our youth when we drop bombs in iraq yet tell headteachers they can only sit down with unruly pupils and give them a talking too.

How can we set example to children when bullying is rife and some are losing their lives?

When it came for me to asking my question the BBC person holding the mike asked if I had my question to which I replied yes and pulled out my hand written note.

The lady then said no the Question you were given? I said no this is my question which Ive been told I can ask, she then went up to the producer sat on the panel in the middle and came back and said NO that is the question you are supposed to ask pointing to a typed written peice of paper.

I had already looked at the question and decided I wouldnt ask it even if I was asked to.

At this point I said NO Im not asking that qustion when I have been told I could ask My question.

At this point I was told to sit elsewhere so someone else could ask the question which they did.

What strike me is that if the guy who had been asked that question about his skin tone would have been black it would have been considered racist.

So the guy asking the question did say

"I do feel a little embarrased about asking this question because I just changed clothes in the toilets with this gentleman" so it was idetifiable that this was indeed RKS.

The BBC are at fault here for allowing a question even forcing a question to be asked about a persons skin tone based on his ability to do job is clear discrimination otherwise had the person been black or asian there would have been uproar.

Utterly disgraceful behaviour from the BBC

Par for the course unfortunatley. Though it is amazing to hear they are quite so brazen about it.
