Check: The only person to say that the attacker represented Islam was RKS.

Therefore, the attacker may or may not have represented Islam.

This is not to suggest RKS was lying - he could have well been mistaken - after all, when being showered with muck is one listening attentively?

Perhaps what was spoken was not "Islam" but "Is a scam" which could fit accurately in several contexts.

intbel... you have to loose the obsession with trying to put poor old RKS down - the guy only wants what's best for UKIP.

I wasn't putting him down - I was suggesting he may have been mistaken.
It was a legitimate observation, I think, under the circumstances.
I have a lot of respect for Robert's unique abilities.

I just wish he'd use them more wisely is all ...

Oooh, he got him good.

I think RKS handled the situation very well though.

One brownie point ( ) added to his score!

A bit more on the slurry incident.

This sounds more and more like a set up jon to me. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the other parties is behind this now.

One thing which may be worth noting.

When speaking immediately after the event, RKS said, quote: "I am not a politician."

If what he said is true (and there is no reason whatsover to believe otherwise) it is reasonable to ask how he thinks he could be a leader of a political party.

I would personally interpret that to mean that he isn't a politician in the traditional sense. It is something that I would like to be able to say as well. We are offering something different to the traditional politicians - we aren't career politicians, we are "civvy" politicians.

Faery nuff.

I'll drink to that.
