Default UKIP SE Newsletter

Entiltled From the FRONT LINE

Nigel Farage talks about the successes of June 10. 2.7 million people voted for UKIP which shows the party is on the move. He puts this down to the clear message of "SAY NO TO EUROPEAN UNION" and the eye catching posters and billboards. He tips a big nod towards RKS also (written before the spat? Or an olive branch?.

Hartlepool is mentioned with us pushing the Tories INTO phpbb_4th place for the first time since WW2. He points out how this is showing we can do well in first past the post elections too. Steve Harris frmo the SE office gets a nod for going up and helping out.

Nods in general go out to David Lot, Alan Bown, Peter Blackman, Mr and Mrs Graham Mellstrom and Brian Pearce for all the good work done in all out election efforts.l

He does a brief report on Brussels talking about us being the party the whole of Europes sceptic parties look to for inspiration. Godfrey bloom is mentioned for upsetting our press, who can't take a joke and also talks about his pamphlet "Giving A Voice To Small Businuesses', which is available from godfrey@tbo-online.com

In the press coverage section RKS again is given a nod. It also talks of all the hard work done by Knapman and Farage. It tells people not to worry about the odd quite day and nasty comment from the press as this is par for the course.

Isle of Wight, Arun District Council and Thanet District Councils are mentioned for doing the best in the EU elections, well done to them.

Branches and members who would like some of the new leaflets available should call the Counties Office in Lyminster on 01903 885573.

There will also be a South East Forum on Saturday 13th November, to be held at St Dunstans hall, Heathside Crecent, Woking (yesss) GU22 7AG. All branch officers and PPC are welcome. To book a place call 01903 885573.

2004 conference is called a great success and also talks of a new book by Linday Jenkins coming out in December. Called "Disappearing Britain: The EU And The Death Of Local Government", it's ISM is 0-9657812-3-2. To pre-book a copy email lindsay@lindsayjenkins.com for a signed and dedicated copy.

Ashford call centre is recognised as doing some good work. An appology for them phoning people up for cash is made, but it is excused for helping pay for all the poster campaigns etc.

The South East now has 7,200 members, up from 1000 in Jan 1999. Any members who want to help form new branches should contact South East Counties Organiser Steve Harris, on 07900 997531.

Anyone who wants regular South East based updates should send a mail to ukipse@ukip.org, make the title SOUTH EAST NEWS.

All in all a nice positive newsletter, with no backstabbing! Good.
