Good report. I agree with all of it, all the EU does is produce red tape and makes it very hard for small business to compete.

Personaly I think big business gets hammered by the EU also, but they are big enough to absorb it, and by passing costs on us.

I think the people involved in operation UnitedStatesEurope are becoming more and more detached from reality. They are spewing out these directives, which are in effect creating a stiff, unflexible society on all levels. We are being being given so much rubbish to implement that we would all have to be computers to know all of it.

Add to these the "fine culture" that is being implemented, and we may as well all be in prison. Small business will have to have a team of accountants, book keepers and lawyers, just to stop them being fined for breaking whatever rule comes out in a particular week.

The same goes for the individual, eventualy none of us will know whether we are coming or going!

I liked the section on Agriculture, I was required to produce an essay on CAP for my university last year part of which involved a critique of the short comings of the system. The solution suggested in the paper is the sort of imagnative idea UKIP should put forward as long as it makes clear that it would be impossible without EU withdrawal. No one will dispute your reamrks about red tape either.
