Just heard that RKS has resigned the UKIP whip. Apparently he will remain in the party but not work with UKIP colleagues in the EP. If this story is confirmed its very sad that no comprimise could have been reached. RKS will now be a semi-detatched member of the party, a significant figure with no real role.

Just listened to Kilroy-Silk & some UKIP MEP chap & was very displeased with the way this whole affair has gone. You have lost my vote. Whilst no individual is ever greater than the team/group, it is obvious to all clear thinking people, that Kilroy-Silk was your golden ticket to the large slice of votes you achieved recently. Your attempt at a "straw poll" was laughable & now only serves to show how much your party will lose as a result of this stupidity.
Get him back in the fold & you get votes, keep him out & you lose them, it's as simple as that. |

However, it must be said that every party is at risk from splits from people who may genuinely or not have differences abut the way a party is run. it is time to get some procedures in place. Too many parties have disappeared beneath the waves due to internal strife, don't let the UKIP be one of them or we are going to lose this country. This country is what it is all about remember.

Good riddance idatakiller and garageman, who needs your vote.
At a regional meeting last week some old codger got up up and walked out because he supports Kilroy...(1 out of 15). What is it with you people? You appear to have the willpower of a mars bar on a hot summers day. If you are unable to discern that the only issue that matters is clearing out of Europe and you are going to let some egotistical twit have your vote rather than vote to get out of Europe then you are clearly only in this field for your own personal ulterior motive. Most people dislike Kilroy and UKIP will gain respect from its unwillingness to be bullied by RKS. Judging from the news footage minutes ago RKS is visibly going down the pan and any RKS fans will look foolish standing for him. |

You all realise that RKS is waiting for the right time to make a leadership challenge now don't you? In other words, you will all have your chance to elivate him to leader in a right and proper manner, keeping the parties credilbility in tact.
Keep your eye on the prize people, getting us out of the EU. No one personality should swing you one way or the other. I would suggest you don't really care about us being eaten up by the EU if you quit because RKS has taken a step back from the brink, and has shown good sense to wait of his chance to lead the party. Focus on getting UKIP as much support as possible and then decide his RKS is the man to take us to the next level at the correct time.

Know what you are saying mkp, but fact is RKS has already drawn the ridicule of the EU. He is going to be so easily attacked by them that he will become the UK's fall guy at Brussels. He will become an embarrassment to everyone least of all himself. The upside is he will make our UKIP MEPs look positively angelic and professional.
UKIP must milk this situation as much as it can. Go out to show everyone that Kilroy is exactly what is bad about British politicians and that UKIP will not have truck with egotistical egomaniacs. Our election posters must have a graffiti 'kilroy wos ere' sketch in the corner, people will love it. ps Thanks Tony....promoted to Full Member, I presume that's a length of service award rather than a merit award. |

I fully respect that opinion Shadbolt, and come the proper leadership election we will see if the majority agree with you. I am still going to watch carefully how all the players perform now and will make my mind up then.
Leaders come and go, the goal to get out of the EU is all that matters!

What the hell are the UKIP group of MEPs intending to do ? Sit there like the rest of the dummies and become part of one great talking shop or try to use the workings of the EP against itself at every turn? Well done Kilroy. At least you are having a go. It is no use UKIP MEPs banging on about the evil EU then sitting down like nice boys when they are there. Where's the passion? Where's the contempt? If the EP isn't trying to ridicule you. you ain't doing your job right. |
