Whilst we are wasting time quarelling about the Leadership little attention seems to have been paid to this important issue which could be the start of the breakup of the UK INTO phpbb_regions very desirable from the EU'S point of view but a very dangerous prospect for the future governance of this country. This refrendum offers UKIP the chance to once again show that it is the voice of the people by campaining hard for a no vote. Come on RKS and others lets fight together on an issue that should unite us not waste our time on personality politics, leave that to the main parties.

There are two 'NO' campaigns in the North East - Neil Herron's, which has been going for 2 years, has a high media profile and a lot of support; and the 'official' one which is funded by the government, supported by the Tories, and has done absolutely nothing.
Guess which one Knapman and Farage decided UKIP should join? |

Prescott seems to be pretty much resigned to the fact they are going to lose on this one. They will just keep on asking until they get the result they want though.
I don't personally care which no camp we are in, as long as we are putting forward the facts so the people can see that no is the only sensible answer!

This shows a great deal of naiviety, within each region, town or village, there are are it's own politics, and the attitude shown in the above statement just cries out out Southerner, one of the metropolitans, it has been complete idiocy on the part of UKIP to have teamed up with the Tories in the North East, if Farage had asked(as he daren't visit the NE as he would be linched and hung from the nearest tree - HOORAH), he would have been told that, in the NE the Tories are the most hated people about. I am lucky in that being a Londoner who has lived and worked in the NE for the past 15 years I can see exactly what UKIP chose to ignore, side with Neill Herron = Koudos, side with the Tories = loss of votes, thankfully this battle had more or less been won before the tory run YESNO campaign was put in place, (it is called YESNO as opposed to its official title of NESno, due to the tory spokesman on his first duty saying "we are against RA's but if more powers were given to them we would vote yes) |

I have to admit, I am not a northerner! I was brought up in the midlands, have lived in the south for the last 13 years, and have only visted the north on business about 5 times. So I guess the accusation that I know nothing of the area in question is fair enough.
I am fully aware however that the north is, in the main, a no go area for the Tories. I just can't believe the ordinary man on the street will care which partiucular NO camp you are in. When you have a question of YES or NO, we will be bundled in with all the parties saying NO anyway. I'm sure Labour will make great noises that we are aligning ourselves with the BNP who are in the NO camp. If it was a vote in the south I would think exactly the same, but as the south is rapidly returning to being a no go zone for Labour, I guess the issue of which party we side with won't be a problem here.

Dead right, why split INTO phpbb_two no camps which will only confuse voters. I understand people will be unconftable about campaining with the Tories but as there is no diffrence between us on this substantive question it makes sense to work together, this does not undermine our core beliefs in anyway.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with joining a campaign with the Tories, but the 'NESNO' campaign is completely ineffective, invisible and going nowhere.
When Nigel Farage was asked why we didn't team up with the popular metric martyr Steve Thorburn, he said it was because Thorburn stood against us in the Euro elections! And the Tories didn't, of course. |
