Kilroy-Silk, future in UKIP
Some are saying that Kilroy Silk may be just wanting to use UKIP to feed his new ambition in politics, having rejected politics before and been barred from television recently.
If Kilroy-Silk cares about UKIP objectives he will not use it as a vehicle for his own gain, and he'd be wrong to think he is our saviour.
I appeal to Kilroy-Silk to understand that what sets UKIP members apart from politics of the past is that they are idealists who crave that Britain distances itself from career politicians, deceitful and duplicitous that they are known to have become. We do not forget that Kilroy-Silk has some of that negative background.
I am glad he is onboard, but UKIP must not fawn to his ambition. There will be other charismatic celebrities to join us, we don't have to throw our lot in with the first one to tie his name to our banner. I would hope that any leadership contest would be subject to a members vote, and Farage would probably get mine, because as an orator I have found him to be easily Blairs equal. I'd like to see us get a military Chief of Staff on our books. They were once upon a time thought to be committed to British independence? Where have they been the last 10 years?
