Tony Stone resigns as Party Secretary?

Tony Stone has apparently resigned his position, which he took up just a couple of weeks ago. The reason is not yet clear.

Also, all of the party conference organisers have resigned, apparently. I can't find any references to this on the Internet, other than a single posting on the new-ind-uk group:

I have just seen a follow-up rumour to this that states that Mr Stone hasn't resigned. Instead he has agreed to continue in the role until a replacement can be found, which seems like a sensible compromise.

I thought that Nikki Sinclaire was the Party Secretary. Am I confused (fairly common, alas), or just way behind the times (also not unknown)?
