BBC - BBC Two - White
Is this a desperate attempt by the BBC to make the white working class to think that the BBC suddenly cares about them.

Must see viewing I would think - perhaps they'll find it's not all Eastenders

I wonder if they will make the working class people they interview look stupid or racist, or just an oddity for the other classes to stare and giggle at?

Spot on, that's exactly what they are trying to do. The survey clearly shows the middle classes on average 10% behind the working classes, as the immigrants climb up the jobs ladder the middle classes will be on par with the working classes. The BBC know this and are putting the boot in while they still have a chance. This isn't a class issue, it's on the whole, an English one. Wales and Scotland aren't far behind.

An interesting programme I thought.
The thing that stuck out is the fracturing between generations and I suggest this has been deliberately brought about by the state to enable them to control people more. Certainly it showed a poverty of expectation and ambition which was a lot higher in the 50's and 60's before the introduction of Comprehensive education. Other factors are the lack of skilled and semi-skilled jobs, apprenticeships and the over promotion of a degree in a unsuitable subject rather then teaching a trade
