Default 'Ashes to Ashes' - what a heap of hokum!

I really enjoyed 'Life on Mars' but this is utter trash!!!!

The first episode was just about tolerable but the second...

I watched ten minutes and then wiped it. I shan't watch any more of this rubbish.

Indeed, nowhere near as good as Life on Mars.

I'm really annoyed at the way they have wrecked this concept. Life on Mars was witty without descending into stupidity and had a serious point in the way it examined attitudes pre and post PC.

The new series plays it for laughs - except there aren't any. What was funny about a dog being blown up by dynamite?

That's it. I'm outa here - and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Thats depressed me ! Got the first two recorded. Loved the first L on M series but thought the second was a bit weaker. Thinking of ditching the telly altogether.

The original concept was so off the wall for prime time TV and the subsequent success of the series I think surprised people (especially the BBC) the follow up was not so good and Ashes to Ashes is just a cash in although it's worth watching just for Philip Glenister who is also on ITV3 in the repeats of Clocking Off which also had John Simm in the first episode
Also entertaining to watch for the music and fashions

His character has become a watered-down caricature of the original.

I suspect somebody got alarmed about the way the public responded to the anti-PC wisecracks just as they did years ago with the Alf Garnett phenomenon.

Of course 'Till death us do part' will never be shown again by the media fascists.
