I watched 1984 for the first time the other day and the similarities between that and some things happening in the real World worried me.

The film Equilibrium was based on 1984, watch both films and there are many similarities. Both good films.

Malcom MacDowell yes a very good actor, brilliant at playing the rebel moody dark natured about to lash out character as in " If and Clockwork Orange"

Try these as well
O Lucky Man - kind of a sequel to IF
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead - also stars Clive Owen but despite the title no references to Warren Zevon strange

I'll Sleep When I'm Dead is a good film. I bought it a year or two ago and quite like it. At the end will he kill the guy holding his lady hostage? Will we ever find out? No!!!!
