    Healthy eating, yeh right

Subject: Pass The Butter .. Please.

I dont know if this is true or not, i recieved it in an email from a freind (yes i do have friends......... er...well.... i have got one.

I have to say that it would not surprise me one iota and come summer, we can all try the test of leaving the Maggy ann out in the sun and watch for flies. I'l do a bit of research on the web, all the required info is shure to be there........er....i think.

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with
this product to get their money back.

It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow
coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like
it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings..

DO YOU KNOW.. The difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end...gets very interesting!

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams; compared to 5
    grams for margarine.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating
the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other
    foods.

Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few and
    only because they are added!

Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of
    other foods.

Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for
    less than 100 years .

    And now, or Margarine..

Very High in Trans fatty acids.

Triples risk of coronary heart disease .

Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and
lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

Increases the risk of cancers up to five times..

    Lowers quality of breast milk.

    Decreases immune response.

    Decreases insulin response.

And here is the interesting part and HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY
INTERESTING! [/B] Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC...and shares 27 ingredients with PAINT

These facts alone were enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and
anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing
the molecular structure of the substance).

    You can try this yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it open in your garage or shaded
area. Within a couple of days you will notice a couple of things:

    * no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it(that should
    tell you something)

    * it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value, nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will
not a find a home to grow.

Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you
melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends.....(If you want to butter them up')!

Chinese Proverb: When someone shares something of value with you and you
benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

    Pass the BUTTER.....PLEASE

    hydrogenated
Avoid anything containing this like the plague, I read the body cannot process this and it turns straight to fat that is hard to shift. The cheaper brands use hydrogenated oils a lot, one example being chocolate spread, Nutella doesn't have it but the supermarket own brands do. The same with cakes and biscuits. Palm oil is another that is bad for us, I was looking at the ingredients of some olive oil spread I have today and it contains palm oil, won't be buying it again. Another is Aspartame, I buy Schweppes bitter lemon but the supermarket own brand (cheaper) bitter lemon and other fizzy drinks all contain Aspartame.

Poor people suffer most as they will buy cheaper brands. All in all, supermarkets are bad for our health. So are carbs, our bodies don't need them, we need protein, fat (butter), vegetables and water. And Vodka.

oh aspartame, the devils pee. It does awfull things to children and yet it's in almost all low sugar squashes. I stick to full sugar ribena, well diluted. Much better for your kids health. Better still proper fruit juices.

There are way to many hidden nasties in food, another truly evil one is - monosodium glutamate (msg) Its been taken out of some kids snacks, but not all. Most crisps have it, another one to have your children bouncing off the walls.

Not food, but has anybody seen what goes into calpol?

    Why?

Aspartame is not just bad for children, it's bad for everyone. Be careful of fruit juices, they contain so much sugar which rots our teeth, should be 100% freshly squeezed oranges. Full fat milk is good for kids, kids need the fat.

MSG is also bad and is put into a lot of cheap processed foods, it leaves the person eating it to crave more of the same food leading to obesity, the sodium is of course salt. Salt is good though, the body needs salt for the acids in our tummy but we should be getting it in its natural form, not in MSG.

Don't know what goes into Calpol, is it bad?

The reason they put these nasties into our food is to make us unhealthy, unhealthy people keep the medical mafia and the pharmaceutical companies in business. Ill health = huge profits.

Supermarket Offers in Sainsbury's | mySupermarket

Anyway, I know I keep going on about the above site but it is good for checking ingredients at home, saves standing around like a lemon in supermarkets reading labels.

I often eat Big Macs, for instance yesterday I had two, one for Brekkie and one for dins dins and then I ran 5 miles later on in the evening. Do you know why I smoke cigarettes, drink too much on weekends and eat take aways? I do it because of people like you who tell me what I should and shouldn't be doing with my body. If I want to sleep with a prostitute without using a condom, therefore contracting something I might be ashamed of..then Zundap, I bloody well will.

I only eat Bertolli, Olive Oil because that makes me meow like cat in front of the log fire. Marg and Butter are garbage, pure garbage.

I'd like to pass on some really bad news that I've just heard.

You may remember Gordon, the little fella from the Lurpak ads ......well he's melted.

My thoughts are with his friends and family at this sad time.

calpol contains an E number that is banned in certain countries.

I agree, fresh juices are the best. The problem I have is with my autistic daughter. Her autism means her diet is a complete nighmare. The only things she will drink is ribena, water, full milk and on very, very, very rare occasions IE at b'day parties, she's aloud a very small amount of her fav - which is unfortunately the devils wiss, diet coke

It's not a good e-number. E122 can make some children hyperactive and shouldn't be used if you are sensitive to asprin.

A synthetic red azo dye used in foods which must be heat treated after fermentation. Also found in blancmange, marzipan, Swiss roll, jams and preserves, sweets, brown sauce, flavoured yogurts, packet soups, jellies, breadcrumbs and cheesecake mixes.

It appears to cause allergic and/or intolerance reactions, particularly amongst those with an aspirin intolerance. Other reactions can include a rash similar to nettle rash and water retention.

Not recommended for consumption by children.

The Hyperactive Childrens Support Group belive that a link exists between this additive and hyperactive behavioural disorders in children.

Whilst being a commonly used colour in the UK, its use is banned in Japan, Norway, Sweden and the United States.

Why is it in Calpol I have no idea other than the manufacturers probably think it sells better being pink. Write to them and ask them why they feel the need to put a colouring in a childrens suspension....

Having said that like I said before and like Wizie said paracetamol lowers a temperature nurofen doesn't. Anyone with asthma or other breathing difficulties shouldn't take nurofen either.
