    Food

I am seriously fed up of eating good, healthy food. I want junk. I want a big fat juicy burger, big fat chunky chips and big fat chunky onion rings.

    I want this..

So I'm going to Tootsies later for a big fat chunky blow out.

Your body will thank you. It needs animal fat, cholesterol and carbs as well as veg. I pigged out on an expensive lamb roast last week. Just wanted it. When that happens it's a signal that the food fascists are losing against the demands of your reality.

    Enjoy!

As long as this urge is not driven by allergies, I'm all for agreeing with the concept that you should give your body what it wants - after all, it usually knows what its short of...and is in the best position to advise.

Nothing wrong with people eating what they want just so long as unhealthy food is subject to a tax in order to come some way towards the additional burden they put on the NHS.

I'd like to opt out of the NHS, so that I can choose a medical insurance company myself.

Then it would be 100% my own responsibility what I eat, thus no taxation would be required.

I understand fascists probably won't like this idea.

    Thank you my darling.

Can't beat a good roast, or a good cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs, it's what us English do best.

Bodies are wonderful things, they tell us what they want. They tell us when they have excess energy or need rest or hanky panky, water and any particular food, especially meats and fats.

I've been trying my best to become an anorexic but I love food, body is saying, "No! Give me junk you meanie!" "And take me to the pub and order me lots of drinks".

I don’t know about fascist, but I do know that most (all as far as I know) private insurance schemes load premiums like it’s going out of fashion for the gravitationally challenged or those who live otherwise unhealthy lifestyles.

In addition when push came to shove and your private insurance firm told you “so long, it’s been nice to know you” who would you then turn to?

Good point. I believe smoking kills people and excess drink chews up their livers and junk food gives them heart disease, but ... they should be in control of the choices they make, not the government. So chosing your own medical company is a great way of handing back the individual's freedom to make lifestyle choices. It also creates competition for medical companies to offer different packages to various kinds of client.

That's fine by me. If certain companies want to up the premium based on whatever, then that's their call. I can then choose to use them or not. The more competition the better.

If no one will insure me, then I would have to ask why that is and take action, instead of expecting the taxpayer to bail me out or hope that a charity might take pitty on my fat ****.

    Exactly.

People will be RESPONSIBLE for their own choices. If they don't mind paying a bit more to be able to be fat, that's their call. If they want to risk the chance they won't be treated and not insure themselves, then that is their choice.

The forced mafia style healthcare we have now, just promotes inefficient, poor choice and control freakery. It has been a total disaster for this country and has more bad side effects than people know.

The NHS may be built upon good intentions, but it is leading us direct to hell.
