Well its finally happened, the wettest wet dream of the Left has manifested itself in glorious Technicolor reality.

The Spanish Government has decided to enact a form of incentivized voluntary repatriation. The very same policy which has lead the Left to brand advocates of similar schemes in the UK Nazis.

No doubt we can expect the Trade Unionists, spindly students and the Levelers, who have endlessly droned on about the glories of the Left in the Spanish Civil War since their predecessors lost it seventy years ago, to immediately take ship from Portsmouth bound for Bilbao. Surely they will not allow the ghost of Franco to walk unopposed through the streets of Extramadura?

Now they have a chance to emulate the exploits of Orwell himself and lie on the floor of a hovel with a bag on his head while the battle against fascism raged about him (well twenty miles away anyway).

Incidentally why has this not been picked up by groups which would like to see such a scheme in the UK? Surely this lends a tremendous amount of legitimacy to the principles of voluntary repatriation. Oh I remember now.......

I know nothing of Spain or its ethnic make up, but I would be amazed if this not taken by the "far-right" and "traditionalists" as a precedent.
