You sound sensible Leo, and you're probably right, but if you defy your Aunt's wishes(rightly or wrongly) you're not showing her a deal of respect are you ?

I know it's a bummer being young, but can't you wait until you're older ?

By the way if I was your Aunt and knew there were "chicks" there, I'd be worried about that too. Not that you will necessarily do anything about it, but who's to say you won't e.g. end up getting one of them pregnant or something. Yeah sounds very old fashioned I'm sure but this stuff does happen....

What I would do is to be totally honest about the situation, but then tell her that you will respect her wishes even if you don't necessarily agree with her concerns or perception.

That way, you may find she has more trust in you and allows you to do more because you've shown her the respect she wanted you to show.

Even if she doesn't let you do what you really "want" that may not necessarily be a bad thing either - the grass is always greener and you might find you have more time to do other things you haven't yet discovered.

And remember - in the long run, blood is always thicker than water.

Sorry if you don't agree - I do understand what it's like to be young.......

No, actually I think that you are giving me good advice, and I guess I mostly agree with you.

I know that if I don't obey my aunt, I will be in trouble one way or another. And anyway, I don't like being dishonest and sneaking around behind my aunt's back. Like if I want to do stuff she doesn't like, then I mustn't go and stay at her place on weekends, cos then she has sort of responsibility for me.

Like I could just not go there any more (no can make me,) but I think that will cause problems with my mum who wants my aunt to sort of 'look after' me.

And as far as getting one of those chicks pregnant, LOL! I should be so lucky.

They're nearly as old as my mum, and they all treat me like a baby. (And I know all about condoms and stuff cos I already did it.

)

Anyway, thanks for your advice - I guess I'm just venting - and thanks for trying to understand.
