Proof, if proof were needed, of this government's contempt for the English, has been furnished in a BBC news report at 3pm this afternoon.
Welsh (not British) Olympic medal winners were paraded through Cardiff with the Welsh flag proudly fluttering in the breeze.
"British" (I think they mean English) medal winners will be similarly feted in Gateshead. I bet that the flag most prominent there will be the UF and not the CoSG.
