As for C4 that goes without saying. The BBC would never allow such open debate between Left and Right as Fox does just look at Question Time.

Here is an example how Fox isnt Right wing but unbiased.
Famous Left Winger Geraldo Rivera is given a good say. This is real debate the like of which you will never see on the BBC.

The funny side is that the original song is itself a skit at the outlandish Nazi lot since it was written very much tongue in cheek by a couple of Jewish guys, Fred Ebb and John Kandar. What makes it even funnier is how it has since been picked up by the Neo-Nazis as one of their “anthems”. If only they took time to investigate what they run off with instead of leaping onto a thing because they think they understand it and just as long as it fits what they want it to be. Still, why should they be any different with music since they take the same approach with just about everything else! I wonder what the effect might be to drop a hint that "Hava Nagila" was actually an Aryan folk chant! Based on track record it would be up there is the Skrewdriver top ten in a matter of days!

Great find, BC! I laughed at that one.
![]() Actually, I have to agree with BC about Fox. Fox has presenters with strong opinions and these are regularly cited as evidence of its bias, but it cuts both ways. Sean Hannity, one of the more 'right wing' broadcasters, appears on a show with liberal/left-wing Alan Colmes. I saw Dennis Kucinich interviewed on that show - easily the most far left of the presidential candidates - and he said it was the only major broadcaster to give him a fair hearing. The panel discussing US politics on Fox News Sunday usually includes two from the left and two from the right, with no obvious bias, and the media show that follows it (I can't remember the name) includes diverse views as well. It is fashionable to attack certain targets and Fox happens to be one of those targets at the moment. I could go to CNN and pick out endless examples of 'bias' but it is just how the media is - they pick the stories that they think will sell and create their own profile in the market. The BBC isn't bad as a broadcasting organisation but it operates on certain assumptions that happen to reflect (at the present time) the views of the liberal establishment. We just have to live with that and call it to account for clear examples of bias and poor editorial judgement, not get hysterical every time it doesn't follow our own agenda. |
