So why is the British Establishment so desperate to silence free speech?

Why would THEY hound these two men to the ends of the earth for words written on an internet website, when there are convicted murderers and dangerous criminals walking out of open prisons almost weekly and left untraced?

These are rhetorical questions and the answers are obvious.

THOUGHT CRIME matters a great deal more to the Orwellian elite who rule our lives than regular criminality.

Hell, THEY profit from regular criminality! What the creatures at the bottom of the tree do to us distracts our attention from what the creatures at the TOP of the tree are doing to us!

Simon was told he was looking at seven years for daring to tell the truth the way he sees it.

He hasn't hurt anyone, he hasn't killed anyone, he hasn't raped anyone, he hasn't got anyone hooked on drugs, he hasn't stolen anything and he hasn't ethnically cleansed an indigenous Briton out of his own ancient stamping grounds.

He has, however, dared to publish unfashionably truthful thoughts and opinions on a server in a country where it is legal to do so.

Seven years.

Contrast this with the recent treatment meted out to an immigrant gentleman. On 26 July 2008, The Sunderland Echo reported thus:

That's nothing for attempted murder - seven years for voicing one's politically incorrect thoughts.

Oh, and by the way, in case you hadn't noticed, I'll just run that by you again. Judge Neil Davey is now saying that, if you are a foreigner and you play the race card in court, you will not be imprisoned for stabbing and slashing a native Brit.

Funny how someone who it might reasonably e assumed to be at least a neo-Nazi should be incapable of understanding even a simple German phrase, but then, ignorance in such people is hardly a rare thing to find.

As for “freedom of speech”, I wonder how much sympathy a person would get following him shouting “fire” in a crowded theatre.

That’s the standard test to see if freedom of speech is being exercised … or abused.

I deplore the Heretical Two because the establishment use tits like these to oppress all of us. It gives support to the establishment created delusion that opponents of mass immigration are Nazis and want to introduce gas chambers when in reality conserving our homogeneity is a Conservative impulse going back through Churchill to Queen Elizabeth1 and beyond. We have no need for foreign ideologies and even less for idiots to make things worse for us. These types set us back years and are exactly the excuse the establishment want to justify tyrannical 7 year sentences for "religous hatred." These are the biggest enemy of patriotism we have.

I have, for once, to disagree with you, David.

Most of Stephen's essays, I find well-crafted and to the point. As for the Viz-like cartoon p***-takes that got Simon into trouble, well, when most Brits see themselves similarly caricatured they find it funny.

I admit that some of the stuff he got done for is juvenile and cringeworthy but he has been imprisoned before for taking the mick out of the wrong folk, so perhaps he's got a right to feel especially aggrieved and angry.

Anyway, the usual suspects will still try it on when a Nick Griffin predicts, with uncanny accuracy, the 7/7 bombings and the religious outlook of the bombers. If the powers-that-be had had their way, he would have been put away for issuing a warning that would have saved many lives if it had been heeded.

Anyone who tells an off-limits truth outside the Orwellian loop will be targeted a few years hence.

What happened to the Heretical Two is just the beginning.
