Default Justice For Barry George

BBC NEWS | UK | George not guilty of Dando murder

Finally Justice has been done and Barry George has walked free to be with those who care about him.

This case which has attracted strong opinons on both sides can now offically be seen for what many have always felt it to be, an horrendous miscarrigage of justice involving a vunerable man.

If we had the death penalty in this country he would have hung 8 years ago.

depends on what you set the death penalty for.

My personal belief is that the death penalty should be re-instated for mass murder and rape where there is no possible doubt. i.e Hindley, Sutcliffe, West et al. Sorry, but they deserve to die.

This has made my day.

While it's clear that George is a saddo loony, there's no way he did this.
I still maintain it was a Serb "James Bond" in retaliation for us killing their TV personalities less than a week earlier - and the only reason George got fingered for it is because TPTB don't want the sheeple worrying that hey, other countries have "James Bond" too.

I am glad many feel as I do regarding the case of Barry George.

I note the disent on the issue of the death penalty, and that Peter Sutcliffe's name is mentioned. Peter Sutcliffe's defence team ran a defence of diminshed responsiblity at his trial which was regected. However he has since been diganosed with a severe mental illness and now resides at Broodmoor mental hospitial, are we saying we execute people who may well not have been able to fully control their actions?

We put down mad vicious killer dogs and for my money Peter Sutcliffe is no different! You could argue the case that all murderers are deranged! I'm not interested in 'rehabilitating' murders or keeping them in prison for life costing the taxpayer a fortune! If they're guilty put them down, end of story!

If there is a likelyhood of them killing again - yes.

Do you know Kernow you have just highlighted the one good reason for us to be in the EU and that is membership of it means we cannot have the death penalty.

Peter Sutcliffe, Ian Brady, Harold Shipman, Rose West etc all commtied acts of evil but I feel that we run a better chance of improing society if we act with more humannity to those who perform acts we might regard as inhuman.

Outbursts such as yours here are typical of the old school mentality within UKIp and is why it is seen often as a bunch of little Englanders with a hang em and flog em mentality.

Hopefully the party will show more enlightenment in its law and order policys and rehab of offenders then you show, thats if they can bother to put forward some policys in this area.
