I would like to thank you all for trying to help me resolve my 'grey curtain' problem!

Sorry, we did hijack the thread. I thought John Conner had some good ideas if that helps. Otherwise, take it to the nearest Mac store and get them to have a look at it. If you are in Berkshire it ain't too far to Oxford Street.

Just in jest. I have found a repairer, but I need to be online each day for a bit longer so I am nursing it through until I can manage without it for a few days.
