I merely posted an attack on me. How does that breach the rules of the forum.

Then perhaps as a Super Moderator you ought to respond to those who consistently support GLW, yourself included. If the guy is banned then perhaps you ought to stop others posting his views or at least supporting them. Unless you agree with him, which would cast doubt on your objectivity.

I support VIEWS not individuals, and as a moderator there is no need to act for or against people who are supporting views on either side. What we will not stand for is continued attacks on an individual, regardless of who he or she may be.

We would take the same stance if you were personally attacked.

Note that the rules of the forum include 'no personal attacks'.

You may feel unfairly treated, but that is your right should you wish to feel that way. I would ask that you continue to make effective posts on topics of interest to you, and 'play the ball, not the man'. Otherwise you are at risk of seeming to be pursuing a personal and small minded vilification campaign, which as mods we cannot permit to take place.

I think the mods tolerance of this UKIP troll has gone beyond heroic.

He just won't play by the rules and in my opinion, should be banned.

Well done to the Mods though, you have played a blinder.

And just to put the quote in context, this is my PM to Bob to explain the infraction, which he seems to have forgotten to quote:-

Bob. Continued postings against individuals are not permitted. I'd hoped you'd got the message the first time. Sorry that you didn't. Please understand GLW is banned for very similar reasons in that he cannot differentiate between the issue and the person - I'd hate it for you to be added to the ban list. We may not agree on all issues, but this does not mean i am taking sides here. Of course, you may think so.

In general, not good form to challenge any mods/admins - we will always take a dim view.

This was sent, of course, before any ban took place.

So on that basis perhaps you ought to look at the posts of GC who has made several racists slurs, directed at me. And I guess given that a BNP supporter concurs with the moderators view means you are right.

c-steam: Not even being aware who BObFM actually was, he accused me of some slur on his Spanish origins. I had no reason to believe that he was anything other than a Swindon local. The posting about which he objected had no national or racial intimation whatsoever. When ever someone objects to BobFM, he either makes unpleasant personal attacks upon them, or plays the race-card. He appears to have no sense of humour, understanding of irony, social manners or protocol. Mocking people with terminal cancer is not usually engaged in by civilised people, but BobFM deems them fair-game.

Knowing absolutely nothing about me, he invites me (and others) nevertheless, to leave UKIP and join the BNP. It is almost certainly without precedent, that a serving UKIP chairman elects himself as a recruiting sergeant for the BNP. That is the kind of publicity that we could do without. Possessing apparently, no previous involvement in UKIP or similar organisation, he appears from nowhere, and conducts a daily personal campaign against certain individuals. He doesn't express opinions alone, he elects himself as the final arbiter in all matters political. He adjudicates on the worth and motives of all other posters; and ultimately decides whether they should be allowed to stay or be asked to depart.

Object to these things, and lacking the insight to see the justice of the objectors cause, he interprets and dismisses such admonitions as 'racist slurs'. Take not my word for it, read his own postings, and ask if they emanate from the mind of a committed democrat.

Why then have you not modersted against Ardvark whose attacks on me have been both constant and nasty even to the point of calling me a lier i.e a terminal fibber
