On 18 March 2005, Frank Murkowski, the Governor of Alaska, said this on The Bill Meyer Show:

THERE IS POTENTIALLY ENOUGH CRUDE OIL ON THE NORTH SLOPE OF ALASKA TO SUPPLY ON THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR 200 YEARS!

During the lecture, Mr Williams, a Baptist Minister who performed his chaplaincy in the Alaskan oilfields, informs us thus:

There is enough natural gas on the north slope of Alaska to supply the entire United States of America for over two hundred years. If every other natural gas well in America were cut off tomorrow morning, at the projected rate of increased consumption, every 24 hours at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, on the north slope where the large oilfield is, THEY PUMP BACK INTO THE GROUND 1 BILLION CUBIC FEET OF NATURAL GAS THAT COMES UP WITH THE OIL!

If THEY told us the truth, Lindsey, THEY would not be able to make war upon us.
