Simple fact of the matter is that the police should be politically nuetral when dealing with the public. Whilst ones sexuality does not constitute one political stance or another, wearing ribbons for events sponsored by political groups arguably does.

First of all the police should not be asking any of their staff to wear these ribbons. Secondly the bible basher copper shouldn't have reacted in that manner.

Our police "service" has better things to do then parade its idiocy in front of the public with such situations as this.

No one has asked me to explain my knowledge of conservatism. It is not really that relevant. David H simply tried to use the fact conservatism is not rationalist to avoid backing up his assertions.

If the Police in area have a history of neglect towards certain communities it might be a good idea to show good faith.

Bonnie at post 388 you wrote "I have quite a good understanding of conservatism". I am asking you to prove it and as well I am really interested. Why don't you? Is it because you boast about having knowledge you haven't?
And the whole debate is based on this. davd h says Conservatives don't use rationalist arguments to support their views and you say they do. Well, show us. And please don't be rude to me. There was no need.

You were simply being a smartarse and I can't be bothered, this is a long thread already, it really isn't the place to go off topic. I didn't say they use rationalist arguments actually. They use some rationalism, you can't have much of an argument without some reason but they don't always use alot of it. My point was that David H made such claims but didn't use conservative arguments based on tradition or what have you. He just stated they didn't use rationalist arguments and then didn't say anything else.

The C.of.E is sick. It has reached the stage when following the Anglican church is heresy. Look at what this thick, anti-christian freak has come out with.

Great Stuff.
Many are also highly gifted. take Allan Turing for example, the original work that he undertook in the field of computer science, especially in Machine Artificial Intelligence.

It’s as if there may be some factor that causes some people born with the wrong physical sex to their brain sex to overcompensate by throwing themselves into some aspect of their lives perhaps in order to ease the pain and confusion life presents them with.

Others GAY people who have been prominent in their chosen fields include one Ernst Röhm, an (in)famous Nazi leader who was more than instrumental in establishing the Nazi party and who was as queer as a nine bob note.

(Maybe he inspired the US Marines policy of always bringing even the dead back home by the Yanks as a result of someone wrongly translating the policy that Röhm and other GAY_SA members followed that they should “Never leave your pal’s behind”!)

As an aside, although there’s no proof as far as I know that he liked to pay hide the sausage with his mates, Hermann Goering had a penchant for cross dressing in quite a big way. Yeugh!
