Henry Makow is a top banana!! I suggest Bear that you write to him at henry@savethemales.ca and express your views, he's very approachable and will answer your points and with your permission will post your conversation on his website - you'll be famous!!

I actually agree with most of what Makow writes so won't bother debating your points as our views are too far apart and we'll never reach an agreement.

The Freemasons at the upper levels (33rd degree) are a Satanic organisation. I think you may be referring to the bottom 3 levels that are relatively innocent and are chuffed at being invited to join an 'exclusive' club thinking they are a cut above. They ain't.

So where would that leave an 18th degree Mason such as myself?

Halfway between Heaven and Hell, perhaps?

That is nonsense.

None of the canon gospels(or indeed the non-canon ones.) are thought to be authored by people who knew Jesus or even people who knew people who knew Jesus, by serious scholars at least.
Quite the contrary - most mainstream scholars do believe in the apostolic authorship of much of the NT (though not all).

I don't think you know what you are talking about on this one.

Even those epistles of Paul which are often thought to be genuine and by no means certainly so and by no means give anything near the complete Xtian doctrine that is orthodox today.
How are they different from orthodoxy today?

Ooo that's interesting. Halfway house indeed. Tell me about the initiations for each level, or is it a secret?

He was talking of the Worldwide Anglican Communion - the majority of which actually holds to the Christian faith.

Look in the mirror - and calling people 'bigoted' doesn't take away the question 'but is it true?'

Well, have been been cured? I have heard people interviewed who say they have been, so why should I doubt it just because you object to the concept?

It's a secret. Here is some information about it.

THE ROSE CROIX

The Ancient and Accepted Rite, conferring degrees above the Third, does not control Grand Lodge. I couldn't tell you exactly who holds the 33rd degree but I very much doubt they are as important as you think. Prince Michael of Kent possibly, and certainly a genial retired clergyman of my acquaintance.

I once met a 31st degree Mason in a bar in New York. I suspect he belonged to the Mafia as well.

Interesting. It's a shame you can't tell me about the initiation process but if you ever want to spill the beans in future just post it on this thread - I promise I won't tell anyone else.
