On 26 June 2008, The Daily Express reported thus:
Quote:
Has the silver-spoon-in-the-mouth person been asleep whilst the credit was crunching and the household bills soaring? Ah, forgive me, I forgot, Harman doesn’t count those likely to be hardest hit by such trivia. Speaking of equality, I wonder if Harman has ever thought that the state of marriage, and the stable upbringing for the nation's children that once accrued from it, should be treated equally with absent dads and single mothers. As long ago as 1990, our Equalities Minister co-authored a report entitled, The Family Way, which criticised the family unit and mothers who stay at home. In fact the booklet went so far as to wonder whether: Quote:

I just bought the Express and I'm about to read the article, of course, this latest piece of blatant anti white racism/sexism is outrageous. I take it the jobs the PC bigots are talking about are filled by middle class white men, if so, this could be the making of them, they might stop being 'sensitive' and putting moisturiser on their faces like bitches, develop backbones and make a stand against this bigotry like REAL MEN do.
I will watch with interest.

This is a disgusting proposal. It actually makes me feel a bit sick.
I would class this as one of the worst moves of this government (and if you thank that seems a bit strange, it is because discrimination, in any form, including positive discrimination, is completely abhorrent. Definitely not the kind of society I want to live in).

Public sector workers have had to put up with positive discrimination in the work-place for several years. This move comes as no surprise to me as the entire private sector now is to be ordered to employ who the Government wants employed.
