Hello,
I was raised into a lie my whole life of the words of my fore fathers in America with these wors " Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of hapiness" (Benjamin Franklin). The whole notion of a two hundred year old democracy I find puzzeling because the rich are the rich and the poor are the poor. The only difference is that landed gentry of the days of old are hidden in suited ties and loin clothes. My pet peeve about colleges is that it perpetuates the aristocracy or in other words the rich to have thier offspring go to school to replace thier parents. True enough there are exceptions, but I don't see it in reality. The evil do gooders are the ones that are never caught like O.J Simpson. They can buy thier way to freedoms that us normal citizenery can only imagine. Yet, they can bat an eye lash as they see thier fellow countryman fall into poverty. Instead they would rather spend all of thier wealth in foreign countris like adoption and the alike. The rich and the poor gap is becoming enormous throughout the world. I am extremely perplexed between the fake democracy that steals poor peoples votes by raising taxes like the sherrif of notingham or Robin Hood's mentality of communism. Please let's have an educational debate about this matter and much more. It plagues my mind that billionaires live lavishly while millions suffer from thier tyrany. |

It is true that worldwide there has been attempts to circumvent democratic process and many of these attempts have succeeded - even in the twin homes of modern democracy, the UK and the US.
On the whole, though, democracy has leveled the playing field a hell of a lot. Don't despair, fight like mad for what you believe in.

True democracy (Swiss style) does not really propagate itself by definition, because when true power lies with common people, they collectively (and individually) prefer just to get on peacefully with their own lives and not gallivant about the world invading other people's countries. |

I fear like during the French Revolution from 1789-1799 that the peasants will revolt the rich. The queen said back then " Want a piece of cake" refering to the apethetic approach to the poor peoples needs for nessessities like food, housing and water in the wrong manner. I am not giving a reason, but the rich don't usually care really about the woes about thier own people in thier own country like the Philantherpy by Bill Gates and Linda Gaes to Africa and other places over fellow americans. You should deserve your own station in life instead of where you have come from, but I do myself find it hard to overcome race, gender and other groups and factors because of thier philosophies colliding with the so called norms of our societies around the world. Once the patriotical family ruled but now it's more like a matriotical rule. Confusing to say the least about the manner in which it is right now.
