The 'ready meals' should taste the same.

Don't need a vivid imagination, there was a documentary on this very subject shown on TV a few weeks ago, can't remember what it was called but the gist of it was.. If mankind suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth and only animals were left all traces of mankind would be gone within 1000 years. All electrical appliances etc would cease to work after 2/3 days as man is needed to operate the systems, in London the roads would eventually collapse into the underground tunnels which would be flooded with water as man is needed to maintain them. The only man made constructions left after 1000 years would be the great wall of China and the Egyptian Pyramids or something. Jeff, sorry, Hartlepool is right in that after about 20 years cities would look something like Chernobyl with dilapidated buildings and overgrown vegetation.
Domestic pets wouldn't fare too well like some breeds of dogs, those with short legs and noses as they wouldn't be able to forage for food or travel long distances, dogs with long noses and legs would hunt successfully in wolf like packs. Domestic cats would do the best feasting on birds, rats and mice. Last edited by Tara; 19-06-2008 at 12:30 AM. |

Quote:
Watched a brilliant one last night on BBC2 about the Kuna Indians off the Panama coast, where an English woman (34) lived for one month, they live without modern conveniences, sleep in hammocks in wooden huts and are community based, sharing and looking after each other. The tribal family she stayed with treated her as a daughter and showered her with love and attention, she was overwhelmed with the affection shown by her tribal 'mother', she explained how here in the west we tend to lose our support network (love and cuddles) after childhood whereas the Kuna people continue that support into old age, talking and sharing living completely stress free lives with no competitive keeping up with and outdoing the Joneses, everyone was happy. I want to be part of the Kuna tribe in my next life as the so called 'simple' people have got it right, us in the west are too arrogant to see what really matters in life. Anyway, enough of all that, I'm making bacon sandwiches, want one?
