Brainwashed, or perhaps merely sane and reasonable?
I would argue the latter.

Is there any way we can call on the moderators to introduce a scheme where posters are made accountable for their statements ?

What I mean is that there are a lot of lies/propaganda told on this forum and people are simply getting away with being able to post them.
Coming from you that is the biggest joke I've seen for years.

In E&E where I post most frequently, I have repeatedly asked posters who disagree with my point of view to post scientific facts to support their opinions. They have never done so - and Britannist is a prime example.

Furthermore, aeons ago it seems like, in the 'complaints' section in response to mpkdavies calling people '..... fascist.... ' who challenged his perverse opinions, I actually recommended that people should back up their opinions with fact (preferably peer-reviewed)
AND
of interest to you I would think, I actually called for a 'Conpsiracy theories' sub section.

It's there in the record - go find it.

Coming from the person that is pushing the man made global warming lie I expected nothing else

The fact you called for a "conspiracy theories" section proves you have no interest in dealing with hard facts

Yes indeed it's in the record Mr "scientific" !

Most honest people are well aware I have always mostly pointed to facts, hard evidence and reliable sources in my posts.

Yes they should compare my posts to yours and see who is really backing up their claims with hard evidence.

And if you are so "scientific" Clippo why are you one of the least liked members on this forum ?
Just look how many people have you on their ignore list )

The fact that you said "posters who disagree with my point of view" is interesting too.

Something I forgot to add too.

The basis of your (apparently scientific) argument is always "Here is my opinion, try to disprove it", rather than "Here are the facts, try to disprove it".

That's how the new "scientific revolution" attempts to re-write reality and science.

This is, of course, a typically ‘subjective’ opinion of yours. ‘Popularity’ is meaningless in many areas of human discourse. For example, Churchill was very unpopular with huge swathes of the British population, as was / is Thatcher. In debate & politics, there are winners and losers. In the losing group, there are some who reflect and recognise that their opinions were incorrect to a greater or lesser degree. There are also some losers who will never accept they were wrong and retire from the debate (judge for yourself who they are here). Then there are those who delude themselves and retreat into fantastical unprove-able conspiracy theories.
In the scientific debate about GW, I am, with quite a few others here, certainly still on the winning side whereas you can judge for yourself what category you personally fall into.

I see I am on your ignore list – pity you can’t practice what you preach

Okay, have it your way, between the eyes, :-

The scientific facts, generated by thousands of independent scientists around the world indicate with a greater than 90% probability that Global warming is real and the major causes are due to mankind’s activities. Of these activities, the facts support, highly significantly, that CO2 emissions caused by the burning of fossil fuels is the greatest cause.
Now you please try to disprove it using facts !

I've seen the forum change lot over the past few years. The forum used to enjoy a good mix of people and we even had contributors from the 3 main parties (among others), but it has since descended into squalor IMO.
Quite.

The forum is overrun with BNP supporters and nationalists, and petty bickering (esp. in the E&E section) is the order of the day.
Yes I agree, interesting contributors are rare. The company on here is getting more and more depressing: the tiresome BNP, chippy nationalists.. and some American bullshitting about Ireland.

A special mention for Britannist, whose posts have never been short of excellent and informative. Britannist does this forum a great service.
Yes, he's always good value. He talks sense and his posts are well informed and thoughtful. The best poster on the forum.

I am sorry you feel this way Clippo.

I shall decline to respond to you actual comments in view of the unfortunate tone you have used against me in posting 19 to this thread.

Took a look but I can't say I'm very impressed. It has just over 50 members and some of the posts are about God knows what.

Maybe I was just unlucky but the first (and last) thread I looked at consisted of posts like this:

Quote:
Paris Hilton? t*at.
Good friends with Gordon Ramsay.
They met at Prick Group
