Another 4,000 post offices could disappear within years, warn MPs | Mail Online

It's the Liberal Democrats in this that annoy me the most. As stated, it is European legilsation that could see mostly rural offices being shut down in 2010, and yet the Lib Dems, some of the most ardent supporters of the EU in Britain, are complaining about it.

Very true but at least they are speaking out for all it's worth....

Not that I trust them though of course - it's easy for a party to object to something they know they can never influence(especially if Labour and the Tories vote for it).

People need to wake up and realize these political parties are batting for the same team and playing us off left right and centre.

What is the Conservatives (official) standpoint on this issue ? Do you know ?

The CONservative party or the boy dave glee club are for the EU so guess what they will not save the post office

I wonder where the money will go if they do? Every time they make cut backs we never get to know what the money spent on, it just goes into a bottomless pit and we never get to know. It would useful for them to tell us exactly what they plan to do with the money from savings made.
