It may not be exciting for some but I am working in a Library, something I have always wanted to do. I help produce information for the armed forces when they travel abroad and produce a monthly news bulltin of arround 400 articles on a wide range of subjects usefull to the armed forces.

In addition there are the usual library tasks, not everyones cup of tea but I love it.

A very genuine congratulations from me.

I’ve often heard that earning a degree from the OU is actually harder than from a conventional university owing to the discipline needed in fitting in the work and study with everyday life.

In my experience when I was studying for my MSc as a mature student I certainly found this to be so, and that was with the added motivation of being part of the student body of a conventional university at the time albeit as an “external” student.

Well done. You really can and should be proud of your achievement.

Well done. Pity it's cloudy over Portsmouth this morning.

Portsmouth Guildhall is a splendid venue for this type of ceremony. Sadly the original interior was totally destroyed in the blitz but it's still the finest municipal building anywhere in the south of England.

I hope you had a chance to visit some of our sights.
