God created man, and in his own image, apparently.
God gave us free will, knowing in his omniscience (never mind that logical contradiction) that we would do such things. He didn't prevent the evil from occurring, he contradicts his own son's teachings such as the story of the Good Samaritan.

Separately from this argument of hypocrisy and the ignorance of the logical contradiction in God both being omniscient and yet giving us free will at the same time...

There is an argument for the existence of God which Aquinas first proposed; the first cause argument. Arguing that everything had a cause, Aquinas proposed that going back far enough there would be an ultimate first cause of everything (let's ignore that logical contradiction too). He concluded that this first cause was therefore God.

Following the same argument...

There is a cause for everything, including evil acts.
Go back far enough and there is a first cause.
That first cause is God.
Therefore, God is the cause of all evil.

My point with both arguments?
Not man's wickedness, but rather the wickedness - or negligence, if that makes you feel better - of God.
