In actual fact, the four minute warning was an optimistic estimate, the real time would be around 2-3 minutes.

It's optimistic to assume you'd get any kind of warning at all. I really can't see the government attempting to issue a warning in the event of a nuclear attack.

The system has since been dismantled, but during the cold war period, and ten years after, they had a full system capable of producing the warning across the country, even in rural areas.

That's terrible. It should be compulsory viewing, particularly for government officials, IMHO.

If you ever get the chance, make sure you do. And possibly take a sick bag.

LMAO
ues they did. The problem was that, in general, the population had no idea what the warning was and anyway, even if they did, what the ***** to do.

Really and truthfully, we'd have sent the vulcans off on a one way mission and then hoped for the best.
