Default Brief extract

Brief extract from the Telegraph article on the link given in the last posting to this thread

(Quote) Keith Vaz MP wrote to the presenter (Gary Lineker) for his opinion on a planned monument in Leicester of the leader of the Indian independence movement." Mr. Vaz said of Mahatma Gandhi "I feel his philosophy of brotherhood amongst those of different religions and ethnicity should be honoured and celebrated in the diverse community of Leicester." (End of quote)

The Telegraph said that Gary Lineker wrote in a letter back to europhile Vaz "I agree with you, especially given the ethnic diversities in Leicester."

Mr. Lineker used to play for Leicester City football club and comes from the English midlands.
