TannyD,why not think about branching out on your own or forming a partnership or Group to generate your own work and income?

Grants are on offer from the government and others you know.

You mean become self-employed? I don't think I have the experience to do that. I don't have experience to keeping business accounts. I have two ideas though, 1) Get a computer and a bit of money, have a virtual business on Second Life. 2)Find a ground floor place in Gloucester that has a garden and isn't with a private landlord who wants you to pay through the nose for the priviledge of living in a place that is probably skanky with the rules of no smoking(my mum would go NUTS!!!) and no pets (another money-making oppotunity).

You don't need to do accounts,at the end of the year just pay an accountant to do them, like many small companies do,if you have an idea, write a business plan and go to you bank with it.

You can do most things in business without having the particular skills it employs, simply by paying someone who does have those skills you lack, use their expertise by paying for it from profits made.

There is a great deal of opportunity out there still, much of it is funded for start ups too.

Plenty of others have gone and done it this way in the past, why not you?

When I was unemployed I started a window cleaning round - it was great. Afterwards I started an Accounting Services business and got some of my window cleaning customers as accounting services customers - they thought it was a hoot.

How are you with heights and ladders? Great life - still miss it.

When I was unemployed I started a Bungee jumping business, it's now a thriving empire. I'm doing so well I can afford to be generous and offer a once in a lifetime offer of a free Bungee jump to all the liberals on the forum, no strings attached.

Tanny D, the Princes Trust trains and helps people get into work and also funds business ventures. You have to be under 30 yrs old, I would have loved that opportunity. All you need is an idea and a need for your venture in the local community, I know of somebody who bought a burger van (with a loan from the princes trust) as there was a new block of offices built with no catering facilities nearby.

Prince's Trust - 14-30 and need help

Wot you can't give me one??

Last night I tried to give you that positive rep I promised you but got this message.. You must spread some positive rep around before giving Cleopatra again or something similar. We'll have to put it about then, won't we

No. I think we should compain about this on your complaint thread, we should take it to the top.

Got a cheek ache now because I've laughed so much, it hurts.
